Bio
I am an entrepreneurial scientist working at the interface of pharmaceutical technology, biology, and chemistry. I am inventor on several patents and have published over 50 scientific articles related to nanomedicines. I obtained my Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Basel in Switzerland and worked on research projects at University College London, the German Cancer Research Center, and the Universities of Basel and of Zurich before joining Pieter Cullis’ team at the University of British Columbia to focus on RNA delivery using lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems and then co-founding NanoVation.
Interests / hobbies
Being outdoorsy; time with family and kids; coaching my son’s soccer team; fitness training; growing organic vegetables; reading about research trends and how to build a strong team; travelling to learn more about other cultures.
