Bio
I’ve always been curious about the world around me, and fell in love with research during undergrad co-ops in salmon population genetics, bacterial genomics, and molecular virology. I further developed my research toolkit during my MSc thesis at Simon Fraser University where I studied Marek’s Disease Virus in chickens. I learned everything from molecular cloning to in vivo avian immunology. I also contributed to SARS-CoV-2 research in vaccine evaluation, drug discovery, and antimicrobial fabric development. My research interests include virology, host-pathogen interactions, and vaccine immunology.
